Nov 06, Aiman rated it it was amazing. It is a totally enthralling journey of three class fellows, of unrequited love, desire and lust. Many readers tend to interpret Raja Gidh as a sermon, in which Bano Qudsia puts forth her theory of hereditary transmission of Haraam genes.

Now the long story of separation begins. But surprisingly I loved this novel.

If Seemin had been somewhat religiousQayyum and Suhail wouldn’t have fallen in love with her, similarlyif Aftaab and Seemin were really in love with each other then the proper way was to marry first and then increase their affection. The mention of abuse and violence is a taboo in our modern literature though all these things prevail in our society.

She was best known for her novel Raja Gidh. Thus while Qayum goes through a variety of stages of self-seeking, the secondary plot describes the trial of vultures. Must read for all Urdu readers, especially students.
